Although I began my Celtic studies by studying the Irish language, I found after 6 months of work that I was getting absolutely nowhere with the language. A lovely language, to be sure, but not one for which I held any propensity. So I switched to the study of Welsh and fell in love with the language, the country and its people. My great dream in life is to live in Wales for a while, using the language on a daily basis and improving my skills through study and education. Since I originally began this project, I've been able to realize that dream and now live in Wales and study Welsh and Medieval History in university. Originally, it was my idea to focus on Medieval literature through the medium of Welsh. But that was before I began speaking the language. Once I did, I found that the history of Welsh fascinated me. I enjoy her history and the path she's taking. So, I'm rethinking my own path with an eye toward a Masters on the language through the medium of Welsh. I've gathered some links here to some of my favorite places, photos* I've taken, and the things I'm passionate about. I hope you'll enjoy your visit!
